Charles J. Gates, Cinematographic Artist

Charles received his B.A. from NYU Tisch Film School, and attended the New York Film Academy. He has acted as a development assistant for Braunstein and Hamady Productions: The Boyfriend School (Hemdale Films) and Meltdown (Buena Vista Pictures). He also worked as an assistant to Roger Spottiswoode: Stop or My Mom Will Shoot (Buena Vista Pictures) and The Band Played On (HBO Pictures). Charles has shot numerous videos for reggae acts in Los Angeles, including Third World, Buju Banton and Eek A Mouse. Recently, he worked with RoundTable to develop a promotional DVD for Itochu International.
