RoundTable Cinema is a film distribution company with a truly independent spirit. We introduce subtitled independent films from around the world to the Japanese market through distribution to theaters and DVDs. Even though there are many distributors who handle foreign films in Japan, there are still not enough who provide works with unique points of view—films that address social subjects and our common humanity. As sales of theater tickets and DVDs decline, the Japanese film market is becoming increasing difficult, particularly for independent films. In response, RoundTable Cinema is also working on VOD (Video-On-Demand) film distribution, developing content for Pay-for-View websites in conjunction with our Japanese partner companies. We feel that it is vital to match our content distribution method to current market conditions and technological advances, and are ready to talk with interested parties about this exciting new project.
